Some TV Shows...

So there are a couple of TV shows that I really like right now. First, The Tudors. I've been aware of this show for quite some time now, but I don't have Showtime so I can't watch it. But thankfully Netflix has the first two seasons available for instant view online so that's what I've been watching for the last couple days. I'd seen Jonathan Rhys Meyers in a couple of other things (namely Velvet Goldmine which is simply amazing!!!). I mostly picked up the show to see him...but then I found out that Callum Blue is in it (from Dead Like Me) and that Henry Cavill, he's pretty to look at too ;). I've only watched the first 5 episodes but I'm completely enthralled. I cannot wait to see what happens in the upcoming episodes!!!

I'm also rewatching Six Feet Under, which I've only seen the first season of. I'm watching it with my parents now and my mom really likes it too. I got interested in the show after having an obsessive period over Michael C. Hall after watching the first three seasons of Dexter(which is an amazing show!). I love the family dynamic and how different every member of the Fischer family is. My favorite character though in the first season is Billy. I love Jeremy Sisto, and he is playing a bipolar patient very well. Every time he comes on camera my mom is in shock at how different Jeremy Sisto looks compared to his character Cyrus Lupo on Law and Order. That episode at the end where Billy lures Nate into that run down warehouse is just amazing! I also love how David develops throughout the first season. I could be a little biased though since I'm practically in love with Michael C. Hall, but I think all the characters are written very well.

I just have to say that I have never watched so many episodes of a show as fast as I watched Doctor Who. I watched every episode since Chris Eccelston starred as the Doctor religiously. I only wish I lived in the UK so that I can see new episodes on tv rather than watching it online...David Tennant is my favorite of the three Doctors that I've watched. I haven't really made up my mind on Matt Smith yet, but I'm glad he kept some of the same characteristics of Tennant's Doctor. I do think though that Tennant and Billie Piper were the best Doctor/Companion pair from what I've seen. I loved the chemistry between Rose and the Doctor and that ending was spectacular! David Tennant is my new obsession, which is why I need to get red, high-top converse shoes. I love that this show has been on since like the 1960s and it still has a huge following. I think that has to do with the change up in actors all the time and that the writing changes almost from one episode to the next. I hope that this show stays on air for a long time so that I can still dream that one day the Doctor will land in the swamp that is my backyard in his TARDIS and I will be the next companion ;)
